Every year, the first Saturday in August, is International Stationery Store Day. Stationery shops from all over the world celebrate the unique experience
that is THE STATIONERY STORE. 
Much in the way of Record Store Day or Independent Bookstore Day, Stationery Store Day is a day dedicated for everyone who loves paper. 

For the 2026 Stationery Store Day, Paper Chain will have several in-store events including a ticketed Preview Hour & Workshop. The VIP Preview Hour & Workshop is a ticketed event that offers early shopping with local coffee and pastries. It also includes a beginner level book making workshop where you will learn how to hand sew a simple notebook. The class takes about 30 minutes and participants can expect to take home a one-of-a-kind, handmade book. Tickets Available Here.

All day long the store will offer a “Build Your Own Book” Station. Make your very own hard cover, wirebound notebook. Select from a variety of covers, papers, and fill-ins to make a custom, one-of-a-kind notebook. Feel free to bring your own paper ephemera. Fun for all ages. Price is $35 per book.

We will be hosting Holly Lane Boutique from 10a to 3p. She will be printing and pressing stationery and book themed designs onto t-shirts, hoodies, and tote bags, including special limited designs made by yours truly. Bring your own blank shirt, sweatshirt, tote bag or select from Holly Lane's inventory. Prices range from $18 - $40.

Plus there will be giveaways for the first 20 customers.
